Welcome back to my blog
guys!
Here I would like to
share about what is the author’s main argument and the author reasons
for his/her main argument from journal I selected, the titled of the
journal is Teaching Report Writing Skills
through Communicative Activities.
The first questions is “what is the
author’s main argument?”
In
this journal, the authors describe the skills of report writing and explain how
to design communicative activities to teach certain skills. The authors suggest
methodologies and techniques that meet the needs and interests of teachers who
teach technical subjects such as Report Writing Skills. This journal also
emphasizes the types of problems students face when learning to write technical
form writing reports. In scientific report writing, it is natural for them to
find difficulties and make similar mistakes. Like grammatical errors, writing
styles are wrong because there is no exposure and experience writing reports or
technical documents before. Well, in this journal the author explains how to teach Report Writing Skills using Communicative Activities
that are not expensive to improve students' writing skills in writing
professional reports.
The second questions is ”explain the
author reasons for his/her main argument?”
The author reasons wrote
this journal is to prove that communicative activities are very helpful in
teaching technical writing like report writing skills. This approach creates
interest in the subject for the students. They become more creative in writing.
The overall performance is better when students are taught with the help of
communicative activities. The number of failure cases in the subject contracts
to zero. The classroom activities in pairs/groups with the help of audio/visual
aids and other facilities like language laboratory, library and internet makes
students more independent and efficient in writing. The students have thorough
knowledge of the report writing procedure and its various components. They are
able to write both short and long reports individually. They can compose other
documents related to report writing skills such as memorandum, letter,
brochure, office notes and email quite efficiently too.
That’s enough from me,
thank you for reading guys!
Bye bye..
